From the Hills of Kigali to a Vision of Comfort
I was born and raised in Rwanda a country known for its beauty, kindness, and the feeling of home it gives to everyone who visits.
Growing up, I was more of an indoor girl, but after high school, I had the opportunity to work in hospitality suddenly, guests from every corner of the world surrounded me. I listened to their stories, their challenges, their excitement, and slowly, I fell in love with tourism without even noticing it happening— the joy of connection, the beauty of discovery, and the pride of sharing Rwanda with the world.
Later, I spent some time living abroad, and being a foreigner there made me realized how overwhelming it can be to explore a new country when you don’t know where to look, what to ask, or how things work. So right there and then i started thinking what I can contribute to make visitors to Rwanda feel comfortable the moment they arrive…
Something that helps them experience, not just visit… Something that lets them explore, work, and live authentically while feeling supported, guided, and at home. Therefore, that is how Velvée Journey was born from a simple dream to make people fall in love with Rwanda, just as I did.
